Is it possible to restore the SAS usage? Mechjeb struggles with heavy ships now :(

In previous versions, MechJeb would automatically apply SAS when at 0 degrees, ensuring it remained pointing where it wanted.
I am currently having problems with slightly unstable rockets, and I have sufficient SAS on the ship to hold it straight, if it used it.
